Become an IWA member
IWA Membership and HIC/LIC Classification
Authors do not need to be members of IWA to participate the conference. However, IWA members have access to a series of benefits that include significant registration discounts. Also, IWA members benefit such as receiving The Source Magazine and further discounts on IWA publications and all IWA events.
IWA operates a High / Low Income Country classification for its membership and registration fees. The HIC/LIC classification is based on your country of residence and not on your country of origin.
Participants having their habitual residence in low & middle-income countries get a discount on the registration fee.
Young Water Professionals (YWP)
Young Water Professionals (YWP) are 35 years old or younger. Students need to submit a copy of the student´s ID at the registration site
Registration fee
The registration fee includes:
- attendance to sessions
- conference material
- lunches and refreshments in the breaks during the conference days
- welcome reception hosted by the city of Stockholm
- conference dinner if you choose to include this in the fee
Other activities such as pre/post-conference workshops, social and technical tours can come with a added cost (see add-ons when buying your ticket).
Welcome Reception
The Welcome reception is hosted by the City of Stockholm and will be held at the City Hall.
The Welcome reception includes light mingle food and drinks.

Conference Dinner
The conference dinner includes dinner, drinks and entertainment.

Cost: 1 100 SEK excl. VAT (1 375 SEK incl. VAT)

The KTH Reactor Hall
Together we visit the KTH Reactor Hall. It is located on the KTH Campus and was originally the site of Sweden’s first nuclear reactor, the R1 research reactor. https://www.kth.se/en/om/upptack/r1/kth-reaktorhallen-1.739170
Please note that you reach the hall via an elevator, if you have claustrophobia we advise against attending.
Guided tour at KTH Campus

A number of hotel rooms in different price categories have been pre-booked for the conference. Book your room via the online booking service when you register for the conference.

Please note you need to register and pay the registration fee before an invitation letter can be processed.
Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. The information we ask for in the registration is the information we need to properly arrange the meeting, logistics, login, payments etc. We will provide relevant information with our partners (travel agency / hotel / venue and industry) with the same purpose. Neither we nor our partners will share any information with third parties. We may keep your name and email address for future events, but you are always free to reject any invitations. We can not register your information without your approval. By clicking the “I have read and accept the privacy policy” button in our registration forms, you agree that we store your information according to the privacy policy.
Sweden Meetx AB and the organizer of ecoSTP 2025 are jointly responsible for the processing of your personal data.
VAT on fees – important information
The fees are stated in SEK including Swedish VAT. Please note: According to Swedish and EU** legislation all delegates are required to pay Swedish VAT on the registration fee (25%), social events (25%) and hotel (12%).
** According to the EU legislation and regulation for conferences and events (C-647/17, EU:C:2019:195, of 13 March 2019 and Article 53 of Council Directive 2006/112/EC of 28 November 20016) VAT is paid in the country where services are rendered, e.g. the country in which the conference takes place.

Method of payment
All payments should be made in Swedish krona (kr/SEK). All bank transfer charges in connection with transferring fees are to be paid by the delegate. No personal, company or Euro-cheques will be accepted.
Payment can be made by the following methods:
Credit card – Visa, MasterCard. Please note that all credit card payments are made through a secure and encrypted online payment gateway, and will be listed as a transaction with Sweden Meetx AB on your credit card statement.
Invoice – Only possible for Swedish companies/organisations with a valid Swedish VAT number (Org.nr). Invoices should be paid within 30 days.
Cancellation of registration and social events
- Cancellation before April 24, 2025 you will get a refund minus an administrative cost of SEK 350
- Cancellation from April 25, 2025 – no refund. If you cannot attend the congress, your registration is transferable to another member of your organisation in the same registration category, an administrative cost of SEK 350 will be charged for the transfer of registration.

Cancellation of hotel
- When the reservation is confirmed until 8 weeks before arrival, no charge will be taken if reservation is cancelled
- From 8 to 6 weeks before arrival – 50% of the total cost of the reservation will be charged.
- From 6 to 4 weeks before arrival – 80% of the total cost of the reservation will be charged.
- We regret that no cancellation within 4 weeks before arrival will be refunded.
Please note that change of arrival/departure dates within this deadline is to be counted as cancellation. Changes and/or cancellations have to be made directly to Sweden Meetx AB and not to the hotel.
Climate compensation for travelling to the conference
Travel has a major impact on the environment and the climate. Of our consumption-based emissions, i.e. the emissions of greenhouse gases that are linked to how we consume, travel accounts for about a third.
When registering to the conference as a participant we offer the possibility for climate compensation for your travelling to the conference. At the end of the year, the conference organiser Meetx climate-finances a selected project (via ZeroMission) with the total funds from all conference participants that have chosen to climate compensate their traveling.
